The First Note in the Woods
Before the barn, before the stage, there was only a path and a sound hidden among the trees.
The path climbed gently, pockets full of smooth stones and a low sky above the larches. Magnus stopped when he heard a thin note, as if someone had plucked a string behind the moss.
From that moment on, nobody walked in silence again.
